I was being pigeonholed in my apartment this Friday and decided to rentout this DVD to kill time. Used to be a big fan of Karisma in herbygone days, man what a disappointing performance. Everything about themovie sucked, the badly edited script, the shoddy acting, theirrelevant characters. This includes Karisma's co-star. I won't evenGoogle to find out the name, only thing I can remember he has such aclumsy wooden, expressionless face. They were a gross mismatch even ifI take Karisma as some sort of cougar not considering the huge agedifference, she really looked as if babysitting her boyfriend. JimmyShergill, a fine actor otherwise, looked tired and worn out, probablyanguished with subjecting himself to Karisma's comeback tantrums.Seriously, Karisma didn't find a single co-star for her comeback movie.I heard her behavior isn't very good so that makes people keepdistance. Only the most pathetic, lazy mind could come with a script likedangerous ishq.

DI is a supernatural thriller and just gets listed in one of those Oldfashioned "Pichchle janam" films of bollywood, like Hameshaa, KaranArjun, OSO, etc.The plot revolves around Sanjana, who's lover gets kidnapped and duringthe search for whom she begins to get visions of her past lives, andshe soon makes shocking realizations about herself and those aroundher. This supernatural concept of rebirth and such stuff will probably notappeal to people anymore. The film does have its thrilling moments butnowadays people want thrill with some logic also. The music is mostlyromantic ballads only, Karisma acts well but like the concept of thisfilm, she is also looking old fashioned. Jimmy Shergill does well forhis part, whereas Rajneesh Duggal's role is pretty limited.Another major flaw...this is a spoiler...in all the past lives stories, the protagonist and her lover are played by the same actors, but thevillain is not. Also, they should not have used Ravi Kissen in theRajput story because it kind of gives away the suspense of the film. Can watch once.

The movie has two reputable and talented names, that evokes an interestnamely-Vikram Bhatt and Karisma Kapur. Karisma, who dumped her hubby ofsix odd years and embraced the movies for good, is one of the besttalent from the Kapoor clan. Her thick eyebrows are kind of distractionfrom her acting. She is good in certain roles like regressed past as inthis movie, since she has that eternal lost-look that fits right in.Somehow Vikram Bhat, fails as a director, since the movie is not tightas you would expect from a Veteran like Bhat. There are no strong maleactors attached to the movie. The beginning of the movie and the sceneinside the hospital is totally confusing to an average viewer, till thehypnotherpay sessions. Rajesh Duggal has talent in his blood..wish itwas in his acting. Divya Dutta and other actors do fine. The one numberby Himesh "Tere Chehra" is good. This movie hundred times better thanthe flicks by the 3 suvvar kuttae brothers and the 3 suvvar Kongs whoare a disgrace to the movie industry.

I don't know what these people are talking about! This movie wasdifferent. Just because you were unable to catch what was going ondoesn't mean the movie isn't good. Its a superb watch. Somethingdifferent. Most people were probably hyped because Karishma was comingback and I think she did a great job and looks fantastic. Don't watchthe movie when you are tired because you actually have to pay attentionto to understand what the movie is about. After viewing this movie, itmakes you wonder about past life regression. Before watching you maywant to research and find out what it is so you can understand theflick instead of wanting a typical boy and girl dancing & singing neara tree movie

The confusing posters of the film stressing more upon the 3D logoinstead of the title gave a clear message about the confidence of itsmakers before the theatrical release of DANGEROUS ISHHQ.Besides, VikramBhatt (after re-discovering the horror formula of success), making afilm on Past Life Regression as a comeback project for Karishma Kapoorsomehow didn't sound that exciting to me, keeping in mind all therecent movies of the director.Still I watched it and so did many others in the theater expecting atleast something exciting out of the rare combination of Past LifeRegression plot, Karishma Kapoor and Himesh Reshamiya. But as it gotover, there was only one question in my mind that, "Why on earth,Karishma Kapoor chose such a low grade movie to be her comeback venturein the Industry?" The question was posted at Facebook and it got a verymeaningful reply from an experienced friend, who commented, "For thesame reason she chose "Prem Qaidi" to be her debut film in theIndustry." And I think that should explain a lot to the readers abouther DANGEROUS ISHHQ which undoubtedly remains one of the weakest &worthless projects released in the year 2012.In short, the review is clearly written in the film's title itselfwhich warns the viewers that it's highly dangerous to see it intheaters spending your time, money and efforts together. The subject ofPast Life Regression, which could have easily been the strength of themovie, actually proves to be a curse for it. The poorly writtenscreenplay taking the viewer into different eras of the past, fails toimpress completely and the film simply appears to be a B class projectin all its departments ranging from writing, acting, direction andpresentation. Probably that was the reason why many people were not ontheir seats in the second half as the film started post itsintermission. As an experienced actress Karishma Kapoor tries her best to lift manylifeless sequences but in the process loses the battle. In reality, sheshouldn't have done this film as her comeback vehicle. Rajniesh Duggalcontinues to be in search of his talent and Jimmy Shergill, DivyaDutta, Aarya Babbar, Samir Kochhar, Ravi Kishan and more just performas professionals working on an assignment. Himesh Reshamiya givesanother average soundtrack of his career with nothing worthremembering. But more importantly don't get fooled by the 3D logoplaced prominently in its promotions. The film had no need of 3Dtechnology at all and its just a gimmick to bring in more viewers intothe theater. In fact DI also gives out a clear lesson both for theproducers as well as the viewers that 3D format is not required andshould not be used in every or any kind of film without giving it aserious thought. It's all waste of time, energy and effort to use itfor a film like DI.Ending on a lighter note, Past Life Regression might be a therapy ormethod through which people try to find their peace. But in DANGEROUSISHHQ it actually takes away that precious possession of the viewer ina more cruel way. So it will be real dangerous if you opt for this pastlife Ishhq in the theater.

Trust Vikram Bhatt to mix everything under the sun to come out with asuspense thriller. He is known for his concoctions mixing Past Life andmurder, Sex, Music, Romance etc in earlier successful and unsuccessfulfilms from Fareb/Kasoor/Raaz/Inteha to Haunted/1920/1920Returns/Shaapit and now Dangerous Ishq. Honestly, DI has an interestingconcept. I don't believe in Reincarnation but the concept isfascinating. Vikram Bhatt has woven several layers of past life in thisstory and slowly unraveled the mystery. The culprits here are severalthings. The pace, which drops at many points in the film. The choice of actors (casting). Karisma does a good job and looks greaton screen too. But Rajnesh as her love interest is miscast. No, shedoesn't look older than him (on the contrary she's still got it) but hedoesn't match up to her in terms of screen presence. Moreover, hedoesn't get a chance to exhibit acting skills either as his role is anextended guest appearance. Divya Dutta is dependable as usual and therest of the supporting cast are good, especially Natasha and RaviKishen. But when we talk about casting, we look at the lead pair. Andthat clearly, according to me, has gone very wrong. Even the makersonly publicized Karisma on the posters of the film. Moreover, Karisma looks too modern to deliver those lines in Rajasthanior Marwari (not sure of the language, sorry!) Himesh Reshammiya's music. The songs sound pleasant but baring Tu HiRab, none of the other songs caught my attention. Thankfully, VB hasused them in the background. And the biggest problem if you ask me, is the inconsistent screenplay. It's not confusing, it is inconsistent. At some points you areengrossed at other times you are just bored!Overall, what could have been a good thriller, remains a good conceptonly.

The expectations from this movie were definitely really high becausethe legendary Kapoor girl was about to appear on the big screen aftertaking a sabbatical of 6 years and in real means almost 9 years. Withnames like Karishma Kapoor and Vikram Bhatt people expect DI to be anenthralling experience all around. And to me it did prove to be a pathbreaking movie. The prowess with which Karishma carries this tough roleon her shoulders, she deserves a big laud and many accolades in the endyear award functions. The direction is way too good and i can assurethat it is Bhatt's best work after Raaz. Though the 3D work is goodquality but apologetically there is no much scope for 3D effects. Thefilm could have been made without 3D as well. Storyline and FinalVerdict! Movie is about past life regression and hallucinations. If youdon't believe in such things, this movie would make you believe inreincarnation of true lovers. Such a flawless love story, it deserve 8stars and an additional star for Karishma's to date best performanceafter Zubeidaa! Go for it!

Story: 10/10I could not ask anything more from story point of view. It was a reallytouching triangular love story across the ages.Ancient story + Re-incarnation + romance = works for me!Art/Costumes: 10/10The costumes were really good and appropriate according to thedifferent eras.Sound: 5/10The songs could have been much much better given the strong story. Thebackground music was pretty decent though.Character: 9/10All characters played their part perfectly. Karisma's age showed on herface at times, otherwise no complaints. Rohan's character could have had a bit more impact.Overall: 9/10Overall, a very good movie to watch and I was fully satisfied whilecoming out of the hall. No matter what other reviewers say, if you areinterested in re-incarnation and romance, then you will definitely lovethis gem.

The much anticipated movie turned out to be the real disappointment. Ido not understand what these people are trying to project from suchmovies ? I went with an anticipation of a fresh plot without usingbrain but since the movie made my brain go numb, I took a nap inbetween. Too many loose strings and plots and sub-plots and sub-plotswithout any relevance among themselves lead to ultimate confusion andin between I was searching for some entertaining material which nevercame till the end.Karishma Kapoor didn't carry her role with stability, her emotions justseemed unreal.Same goes with the rest of the cast of the movie. It isn'tworth big screen.... i still din't get whether movie was serious, sad, funny, romantic, action or a thriller.Rating : 3/10

I have to say I'm truly shaken by this movie. I didn't expect at allthat it would be this good.I have always been a great fan of "karishmakapoor" whether it is in "dil to pagal hai" or my favorite"zubeidaa".Se has been my favorite actress since childhood and since iopened my eyes to Bollywood and I have to say no one, I repeat no onecould have played this part better than her.The 4 regressions are eachbeautifully detailed and well constructed and all very verymeaningful,my favorite one being the one with he punjabi girl and thescene in which she has to climb into a true of dead bodies and lieamong them sends chills down my spine.I am very surprised that thismovie received such negative reviews however the thing is we havebecome used to watching boy girl love song trouble song plan song andmarriage song that we are unaccepting to a different refreshing storylike like the one of dangerous ishq. The soundtrack is beautiful noanarkali disco chali no item song but it deeply touches your soul apower possessed by the great "himesh reshmaiyaa". The makeup andcostumes could not be faulted no matter how hard I tried. Karishma waslooking radiant as usual and perfect for each regression .The makeupcovered 5 centuries perfectly.Although I would say that you require an IQ above 2 to understand andappreciate such a movie which unfortunately most people don'tposses. All in all a terrific movie must watch and the twist at the endwas spectacular. In conclusion sound, story, costume, makeup, location allgreat. Couldn't ask for anything better.

I don't understand why this movie got bad ratings, it is actually avery decent movie with good music and good acting. The story is verygood and very different. Dangerous Ishq is entertaining and keeps youengaged right till last minute. I think 3D effects were not requiredand direction could have been a bit more strict. Though Karishma Kapoordid a good job, I feel her sister Kareena would have been a betterchoice for this role. Rajneesh Duggal did not get much scope, Jimmy wasgood as a cop, Divya Dutta and Gracy Singh were okay but the majorsurprise was Ravi Kishen. This guy has emerged as a great actor. Hereally boosted the last half an hour of this movie. I think you mustwatch this movie as the story is different and engaging. Cheers!

Beautiful movie with different idea.Vikram Bhatt's obsession with allthings supernatural is well-known.Marketed as Karisma Kapoor's comebackmovie.3D is effective.Reincarnation of true lovers and villain isbeautifully filmed. All actors did well except Jimmy.Natasha Sinha afterlong time is very good.Gracy Singh did very well.Karishma Kapoor did afabulous job. Background score is effective. If you love horror mysterythen go and watch.Good entertainer for whole family.Romantic andChilling experience.Editing is good but could be sharp.Dangerous Ishqcannot be classified as a period film, or a horror film, or a filmbased on paranormal activity, or even a thriller. Though the filmmakerwould like us to believe that it is a delicious mix of all genres.
